Dr. Armin Sarabi

Armin Sarabi advances data-driven security, Internet measurement, and machine-learning methods for safer digital ecosystems at TheSSML.

Dr. Armin Sarabi is an Assistant Research Scientist and Intermittent Lecturer in Electrical and Computer Engineering whose work advances the intersection of cybersecurity, data science, and large-scale Internet analysis. His research focuses on data-driven security, where he develops empirical and machine-learning–based methods to identify online threats, understand attacker behavior, and improve security decision-making. He also specializes in Internet measurement, building systems that capture and analyze global network activity to uncover vulnerabilities and structural weaknesses in digital ecosystems. His work extends into security economics, exploring how incentives, risk, and economic forces influence cybersecurity outcomes across organizations and users. At TheSSML, Dr. Sarabi brings an essential perspective on how intelligent algorithms, empirical analysis, and economic reasoning can strengthen digital safety and guide the development of secure, resilient machine-learning systems.
