Dr. David Sprott

Jeremy Hunter teaches executive mindfulness, self-mastery, and transition skills to accelerate leaders’ evolution.

Dr. David Sprott is an accomplished academic leader and marketing scholar, currently serving as the Henry Y. Hwang Dean and Professor of Marketing at the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management. He also holds a faculty appointment at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. His research spans retailing, branding, influence strategies, consumer behavior, and marketing public policy, with numerous publications in top-tier journals such as Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Journal of Retailing.

Dr. Sprott earned his PhD in Marketing from the University of South Carolina, and holds both an MBA and a BA in Business from Kent State University. Before joining the Drucker School, he served as Dean of the College of Business at the University of Wyoming, where he led initiatives in academic excellence, student experience enhancement, and statewide economic engagement. Earlier, he spent over two decades at Washington State University, holding prominent leadership roles including the Boeing/Scott and Linda Carson Chair of Marketing, and received the Outstanding Faculty Research Award.

His teaching portfolio covers retail management, leadership, brand management, sales management, consumer behavior, and research methods across undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. He is co-editor of the Handbook of Research on Customer Engagement (Edward Elgar, 2019) and a long-standing member of the American Marketing Association, Association for Consumer Research, and the Society for Consumer Psychology.
