Dr. Mehdi Saligane

Professor Mehdi Saligane is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering whose work spans the rapidly evolving intersection of hardware innovation, intelligent sensing, and secure computing. His research focuses on biosensors, edge AI acceleration, hardware–software co-design, hardware security, nanofabrication, and next-generation sensor technologies. By integrating advanced fabrication techniques with machine learning–optimized architectures, he develops high-performance, low-power systems capable of processing data directly at the edge, enabling real-time intelligence for biomedical devices, embedded systems, and distributed IoT platforms. At TheSSML, Professor Saligane brings crucial expertise in designing trustworthy, efficient, and intelligent hardware ecosystems, guiding students to understand how sensors, AI acceleration, and secure architectures shape the future of computing and applied machine intelligence.
